Too many awards in the sector were regional, self-nominated without verification, or commercially compromised. We set out to change that.

Yes — complete independence is the cornerstone of the International Travel Awards' credibility and value. Our judging panel comprises over 200 respected industry professionals including former tourism directors, hospitality executives, travel journalists, academic researchers, and independent consultants. No judge has a commercial relationship with any nominated brand. No nominee can purchase a win — all awards are based purely on merit. Nominations are accepted to cover the administrative costs of the evaluation process, but payment confers no advantage in the judging. Our editorial and judging processes are entirely separate from commercial operations. This commitment to independence is why winning an ITA award carries such genuine weight with travellers, media, and industry partners globally.
